Microsoft Encarta mislabels photo of Sifu Fong
“In the early 80's I taught a tai chi class at Mt. Tabor Park here in Portland. As I recall, one day someone came up and took a few pictures of me leading warmups before class. He left without asking what I was doing or requesting my permission for use of the photos. Now, one of these photos is being used in Microsoft's Encarta encyclopedia to illustrate the entry for T'ai Chi.”

“In fact, this particular photograph does not show tai chi movement of any kind or for that matter, any other style. It depicts a warmup exercise designed to loosen up the legs and upper body. Whoever took this picture and/or whoever chose it for the Encarta T'ai Chi article clearly have no background in martial arts training.”
